Reflection

The end is near
4th Grading is coming to an end.
I was too busy to notice everything. I was too busy to treasure the moment and now I regret it. Why is time so cruel?
I have learned a lot in the forth grading period. I’ve realized that I learn faster with practical usage of things. Photoshop will influence me in the future since computer education is an asset that can help me in college and maybe in my work as a future doctor. Modern advancements are born so fast and I am grateful to have ICT as one of my subject.
I was fascinated with Computer as a child and ICT IV helped me enhanced my knowledge in using computers. I’ve learn for to do coding and making a website. I’ve learn Photoshop which is my favorite among the lessons tackled.

Moving on, I will not stop here. I will still study about computers in my own way with the use of the Internet. ICT IV had contributed a lot in my development and let me take this opportunity to thank my teacher who made everything easier for us. Thank You Ma’am! J

My Dream, My Future

The Not-so-Impossible Dream
Ever since I could remember, I was fascinated with the human anatomy. I could say it intrigued me in every way. You can say it’s disgusting but for me it’s interesting. Since then, I wanted to become a doctor.
Along the way, my mind started messing up. I wanted to become this and that. I wanted to become a lawyer. I wanted to become a business woman. I wanted to become a photographer. I wanted to become a teacher. I want to become like my father, an engineer. There were so many things I want become but there was so little time. Time was never in my favor and I hate it. Now that I’m sixteen, I needed to choose.
I had to do a lot of thinking for this post since I want to become honest in every way. After the thinking which messed my head up, I decided that in the future I’ll be a doctor specifically a skin doctor or commonly called a dermatologist.

I choose to be a dermatologist because I have this great interest with skin and I would love to study it and help people with skin diseases. I dream of it as my future. I wish it will be my dream and future.

Change: It starts with me.

Change: Make It Happen!

Change is the only permanent thing in the world. It can happen in the least possible way it can. Sometimes you notice sometimes you don’t. The thing is we change for a reason but whatever it may be we need to change for a better and not for the worse.
Honestly, change is a very hard thing to do especially when you don’t want to. One thing more, Acceptance is also needed for change to happen. As we can see, our country, the Philippines is undergoing change. It is now beginning to adapt to the culture of foreign countries. The Maria Clara aura of the Filipinas is already fading only few are like this these days. Some changes are necessary for development but we must also reminisce the past and look back on the things that make us today.

Change is tricky when it is not controlled. But when we all change for the better then, we are one step closer to achieving our most awaited dream, to attain success and there is no other way in changing than beginning within ourselves. If we think it through, it isn’t really hard right? But when all of what we conceive is put on to work it needs a little force to make it happen. As they say it “If there is a will, there is a way.” Nothing is impossible we you believe. Change is a simple way in achieving a brighter day. Change start with me and you, us. Let’s make it happen!

Kannawidan Ylocos Festival

Agbiag Ilokano!

Kannadiwan Ylocos Festival. A festivity where Ilocanoes showcase their talent and rich culture in different competition facilitated by the Provincial Capitol headed by Governor Ryan Luis Singson.
The Department of Education also played a large role in Kannawidan because they gave chance to the elementary pupils and high school students that’s why they signified the start of various competitions such us  traditional tribal rituals, choir and glee club competition, marching band contest, traditional music ensemble, dance drama, traditional and folk dances and contemporary dance competition.
I have come to live with this very festive event especially when it started in 2008. Kannawidan is a tradition now to us because it seems like everyone was very busy in the preparation of it. In Ilocos Sur National High School, participants of this event are scattered everywhere to practice in different fields of contests.
Aside from the competitions, Kannawidan is also the festival which serves as the chain where the municipalities come together as one celebrating the culture of Ilocanoes. Every year, there is a set up place where every town showcases their own product. Kannawidan aims to increases the demand of these products so with increasing tourist rate.

Of course, it’s much bigger and more grandiose than Vigan Fiesta since its scope is the whole Ilocos Sur Province. Kannawidan is simply where Ilocanoes commemorate the rich culture that we have. This festival really take out the Ilocano in me and with that I’m proud to say that I’m a Bigueno, I’m a Ilocano.
